Taking advantage of the concentration of thousands of people at the screenings on the 18th of January, we believe this an ideal occasion in which to sell the multi-language DVD which we are producing. As well as showing the documentary, we would like to propose to the groups participating, the possibility of a mass distribution of the film through these events. The idea is to make copies of the DVD available to these groups for sale before, during and after the screenings.

The retail sale price of the DVD is 12 €. The participating groups will be able to purchase the DVD at half price, which is 6 €. Therefore the different groups will be able to obtain funds for their collectives or organisations, in order to continue their respective activities.

“To shoot an elephant” work group is a collective, asambleary, autónomous and community-based project. We haven’t been funded by any government or supported by any private bussines. First, we made a collective political analysis on the need for this film. Then, we drew up a map to carry out the production and distribution, getting in contact with different nets and people… That’s how we did the postproduction, the cover design, the translations, the subtitles, the webpage, the extras and hundreds of phone calls and emails…

Our only alternative is your solidarity, that’s why we ask for your economic support. To defray the expenses made, to be able to do a Global Screening next January the 18th and, if possible, to be able to produce new critical films.
